Toyota Corolla Car Project
This is a 1999 Toyota Corolla, typical grandma car with champagne exterior paint and light beige/tan interior paneling and seats. It needed a new flair and some fresh life breathed into it, desperately! When I started this project, I had no knowledge of using spray paint or masking, no experience with tearing apart a car, how to remove paneling, I didn’t even know how to use a socket wrench.
This was a learn as I go project, and it was the most fun I’ve ever had on an art piece by far! I had some hiccups along the way like overspray to remove, bad weather, temperature changes causing paint to expand and contract and crack, but I was able to address it all and it was a huge confidence boost. I feel like after this, I can learn anything and accomplish any project. I will definitely look to do more car interiors in the future.
